Kickball Gear

 Kickball Gear

One of the great things about Kickball is you don't really need a ton of equipment to play. Back in Elementary School Gym Class or Recess we played Kickball with nothing more than a kickball, and really that is all you need to play. That said some players like to wear cleats, they really do give you an advantage, especially if you're playing in a more competitive league. There's also some Kickball Kits and Bundles out there that also provide you with bases if you want to setup a game for friends, family or your church in a field. Below we'll link to which Kickball is the Official World Kickball Association Ball (WAKA), as well as some other shoes, equipment and items which may come in use for you and your team.

Kickball Ball

Cleats and other accessories are nice but really the only thing you need to play Kickball is a ball. While any rubber playground ball will suffice, if you're playing competitively or just want to be playing with the correct sized ball, you'll want to pickup a World Adult Kickball Association (WAKA) Kickball. According to WAKA rules the Official Kickball should be 10 inches in diameter and inflatable, and should be inflated to 1.5 PSI.

Kickball Cleats

While cleats aren't a must, they sure to help. Most of my Kickball tournaments and leagues have been on gravel fields with no grass, some are powdery and others are dry as a bone, but it's near impossible to get any traction without cleats. Kickball is typically a fairly casual sport so not everyone wants to go out and spend $80 or $100 or more on cleats so we found and recommend Dream Soccer Cleats. These cleats have over 5,000 Reviews on Amazon with a solid 4.3 Star Rating and they're only $31.99 a Pair with Free Shipping for Prime Members. This is a great pair of cleats that come in a variety of colors and won't break the bank. In addition to helping give you some traction on the Kickball field, these cleats also make a great surface for kicking and allow you to have a lot of control as well as get a lot of power out of your kicks.

Custom Kickball Team Jerseys

One of the funnest aspects of playing in a Kickball League is coming up with a clever team name whether it be the Recess Rejects, the Blue Balls or whatever else you come up with, and what's more fun than having a jersey to repp your team. Get a customized set of jerseys for your team and creating your own custom jerseys.

Kickball Training Leash

Want to practice your kicks before a game or on your own? Grab this Kickball training leash and practice kicking on your own without needing a partner or team to run down balls for you. This adjustable extension cord wraps around your ball and allows you to kick and have the ball come after you without having to retrieve it yourself.

Wireless Party Speaker

While this isn't entirely necessary, it's fun to have. One thing I've noticed about most of my Kickball Leagues, especially the Cup in Hand Leagues and Tournaments is most teams will have a party speaker. This SUPNIU 80 Watt Portable Bluetooth Party Speaker pumps out some heavy base and is sure to keep your team pumped up and having fun on the field as well as in the dugout. This speaker has colorful lights, a handy remote control, and really pumps up the volume and gets the party going.
